Sue's News - Maleny Move

Dear Valued Clients

From February 2020, Dr Sue will be moving fulltime to her 2 acres in Maleny to spend more time with her three dogs and tend her vegetable garden and fruit trees, also doing a little vet work on the Sunny Coast. For the last 2 years, Dr Sue Lapham has been working two days per week while transitioning and now the time has come to make the move.

A great big thankyou for all your support over the last 12 years. I hope to see as many of you as I can personally but if not, please leave me a message and I will pass on my contact details. I have been trying to catch up with as many of my dear clients and their pets as possible. Many of us have been through a lot together and I will always be grateful for the opportunity to have met you and look after your beloved pets.

After working part-time for the last 18 months to 2 years,  I will transition out of the practice over the next few months. This will enable me to live fulltime at our 2 acres in North Maleny with our three beautiful Labradors and tend to my garden and citrus orchard and further develop the rainforest area at the bottom of the block away from the where the dogs run to entice more birds and native species back.  I'd also like to do a little vet work on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland to continue utilising my veterinary skills developed over the last 35 years.

The new ownership structure allows the local veterinary team to deliver ethical and high quality veterinary care, while teammembers are supported by a Vetpartners group office in Sydney, supporting a group of practices still owned privately by both veterinarians and other stakeholders in the industry.

I am so thankful for the wonderful friendships I have made with so many vets and vet nurses at Indooroopilly Vets since 2008. I have been witness to the  development of our vet nurses into such great people, often persuing higher studies or specialist positions. One of our vet nurses was inspired to become a veterinarian which made me so proud.  Having been brought up in the suburb of Indooroopilly and living here until I made my way through University, it was so amazing re-connecting with old family friends who were clients of the clinic. It has been a rewarding journey meeting new friends through our client relationship and guiding your loved pets through the ups and downs of their life stages, even the hardest times I am glad if I helped make it easier in some way.

Thankyou very much for your support and I wish you all the best with your pets in the future. I know I have left them in good hands at Indooroopilly Vets.  I hope I will have a chance to see you before too long. Regards, Sue Lapham.
