Lauren Byrne
Senior Clinic Veterinarian
Lauren joined our team in early 2019 and her calm, friendly demeanour should put you and your pet at ease at their next visit.
Lauren graduated from UQ in 2012 and started her veterinary career in Sydney where she worked in a busy practice in the western suburbs. After moving back to Queensland, Lauren most recently enjoyed her time working in the General Practice department of the UQ Gatton veterinary hospital. Lauren is happy to be working much closer to home now at Indooroopilly Veterinary Clinic. She has a particular interest in medical cases and ultrasonography and looks forward to caring for Indooroopilly's pets.
Lauren shares her home with her one cat "Riley" a stray kitten that she adopted from her first practice. Riley enjoys naps and spying on birds from his window seat. He is a talented kitty and has several tricks up his sleeve; he knows 'sit', 'stay' and 'come!'"

Dr. Danielle Appay
Veterinarian
A UQ graduate, I spent my first couple of years as a new vet in my home town of Canberra. From then, I moved to the sunny tropics of Queensland, working for 3 years in South Brisbane in a large small animal hospital.
I joined the team at Indooroopilly Veterinary Clinic in 2016, and am excited to meet all our wonderful clients. Usually I help look after my parents' dog, a 2 yo Whippet called Beryl, who is full of enthusiasm and spunk. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, and volunteer with a children's charity, visiting sick kids in hospital as well as at home.
I look forward to meeting you and your pets.

Dr. Cathy Fodor
Veterinarian
I joined the practice part-time in 2006 and currently work two to three days a week. Having grown up in Brisbane and graduating from University of Queensland in 1989, I spent a few years in mixed practice in North Queensland and then I ran my own mixed practice at Bellbowrie.
Since having a family, I have worked in practices in the local area as well as looking after the ponies at the Pony Riding for Disabled at Pinjarra Hills. My interests are problem-solving canine and feline medicine and dermatology cases, periodontal disease treatment as well as all aspects of general practice.

Nicole
Senior Vet Nurse
I am a qualified , senior veterinary nurse, and have been in the industry since 2008.
Having joined the Indooroopilly team, I have a love of animals, nursing and providing care for pets. I grew up on a hobby farm, having volunteered at Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, been involved in pet-sitting and pet travel consultancy at Dogtainers along the way. I have gained lots of knowledge and experience with animal handling, behaviour, breeds, and their welfare, as well as customer service, which we value so highly here at Indooroopilly Vet Clinic.
Animals have always been my passion, as they brighten anyone's day. My special interests outside of work are yoga, playing beach volleyball, and anything involving the great outdoors. I love to travel to explore new places, and also love a visit back to the hobby farm to see all the family pets.
I look forward to meeting you all and your pets.

Taryn
Veterinary Nurse
Hi I'm Taryn and I work 1-2 days per week. Indooroopilly Vet Clinic and Dr Sue has always been family friendly so I am able to work part-time and have my little girl in day care while I work. My qualifications include Veterinary Nursing Certificate IV and my previous experience prior to general practice includes working with emergency and critical care at the Underwood After-hours service.
I have been working at Indooroopilly Vet Clinic for five years, during which I have enjoyed every moment. I work with such a great team of veterinarians and nurses that are very compassionate and hard working.
I am a mother to a beautiful little girl named Eliza Rose. I also have a little fur-baby named Archibald. He is a Ragdoll- 8 years old, going on 2! But Never the less, I love him!
I enjoy assisting the vets with this busy and happy veterinary practice and I really enjoy veterinary dentistry and all aspects of pet care. Please feel comfortable to ask for me if you have any concerns relating to your pets care. Our aim here is to offer a top class service to our clientele and their family pets.

Ashley Izod
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
I’m an animal studies graduate and am currently studying my certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. I was excited when I first got offered a position to work within the clinic, after only a month and a half of undertaking placement. I have been a part of the team since September 2018 and have absolutely loved every moment, learning more and more each day from the amazing vets and nurses at IVC.
For the majority of my life, I grew up in Townsville, helping my grandparents from a young age by giving them a hand on the farm. I’ve assisted with an array of tasks, including grooming, enclosure/shelter upkeep, food preparation, birthing/hatching and looking after young. This is what ignited my love for animals, hence my studies. After I finish my cert IV, I wish to go and study zoology so that I may get into conservation and research, my main aim being that I’ll be able to work with animals such as big cats, wolves and a few other animal species that need our help. Just larger versions of the patients we help and take care of in the clinic!
My fur-babies at home are Bentley (German Shepherd) and Big Puss (Russian Blue), who I absolutely adore.
