The Indooroopilly Veterinary Clinic is located in inner western Brisbane. The clinic was established in 1967 by Dr William Murray BVSc. A large sprawling Queenslander on the corner of Moggill Road. At that stage the clinic was at the front part of the house and he lived at the back of the house/surgery.
Dr Murray sold the practice to Dr Ian Tucker BVSc in 1969. Dr Ray Barbero bought the house and practice in December 1971 and he and his family lived there until the practice grew and more space was needed.
Dr Barbero and family moved out and the clinic expanded in December 1975. Over the years the practice has grown from one Veterinarian, Dr Ray Barbero and his wife Denise who did the nursing work, to its present level of four Veterinarians , three trained Veterinary Nurses , one Veterinary Technician, and a part time receptionist. Dr Sue Lapham purchased the clinic in 2008.
These days there is a large reception area , three consultation rooms, an operating theatre, dental surgery, xray and ultrasound room, dog kennel room, a separate cat kennel area and hydrobath service. We have three anaesthetic machines , with corresponding anaesthetic monitors, doppler blood pressure measuring and Intravenous fluid pumps . Our veterinarians use an ultramodern IM3 ultrasonic dental machine. We stock a wide range of Premium dog food and retail products and we can supply special orders overnight.
